Speed & Strength Program (Ages 13+)

CSI's Speed & Endurance Program is designed to safely and effectively improve an athlete's overall running economy. Athletes taking part in this program will expect to improve their running mechanics, acceleration, agility, top speed and endurance. 

The athlete that can run the fastest, jump the highest, cut and accelerate the quickest, perform endurance activity at high intensities are those athletes who have the highest strength to body weight ratio. The key to sport speed is improving your relative body strength. Over twenty years in the business of making thousands of athletes stronger and faster, we are confident that we have the sport-specific strength system that will meet the needs of your athlete.

Athletes between the ages of 13 - 14 years are generally able to perform the basic requirements of our program and are at the beginner level for strength training allowing them to participate in our Speed & Endurance Program and/or Strength Program.

Athletes 15 & Older can generally tolerate more intense levels of training. We integrate sport-specific speed and agility drills and build upon the linear and multi-directional speed curriculum all while offering an energetic and competitive environment.

Barbell Strength

Athletes will be challenged through progressive resistance, time and intensity, performed under controlled tempo and full range of motion.  We will utilize each of the components of Power, Strength and Stamina while incorporating "prehab" exercises to prepare ancillary muscles necessary in preventing injury. Sessions consist of weightlifting, body weight and suspension training exercises. Beginner athletes and athletes who have not been through a Performance Evaluation & Strength Orientation will have modifications to exercises and equipment (PVC pipe versus Barbell, etc).

Our Strength Training Program can be utilized as:

1. A strength & conditioning program designed to enhance one's sport

2. A supplement to any other athletic or fitness activity

3. A primary form or fitness and athletic enhancement

Our strength training program consists of functional, athletic and multi-joint movements, executed with precision.  Our athletes learn the principles of tempo, torque and tension. They learn about full range of motion and proper performance breathing techniques. Our athletes understand that form is followed by intensity. Our athletes understand the number one reason why they are strength training: To prevent injury.

Barbell Strength Class Schedule:

  • 4:00 - 5:00pm - Mon & Wed
  • 5:00 - 6:00pm - Tue & Thu
  • 7:00 - 8:00pm - Mon & Wed
  • 12:30 - 1:30pm - Sat

Strength & Conditioning

This fun and challenging 60 min session focuses on six key principles :
1. Safety
2 Stamina
3. Strength
4. Speed
5. Balance
6. Mobility
The curriculum provides an integration of functional, full-body exercises, incorporating body weight exercises, bands, suspension trainers, medicine balls and other effective training tools while developing core stability, balance and increased range of motion.

The Parisi Signature Acceleration, Top Speed and Agility curriculum for athletes ages 13 & Over.

Our Speed & Endurance class is a 1 hour structured, small group training session and offers an energetic and competitive environment for training.  Athletes placed in this group are guaranteed to: Improve Speed,  Agility & Acceleration, Enhance Coordination & Running Technique, Boost Endurance & Stamina, Maximize Jumping Ability; Decrease Susceptibility to Injury; Increase Strength & Flexibility, Strengthen Self Confidence.

Speed & Endurance Class Schedule:

  • Mon & Wed - 6:00 - 7:00pm


SPORTS PERFORMANCE COMBINE CHALLENGE

In order to make sure that your athlete’s hard work is paying off, every season, at no additional fee, we run our Sports Performance Challenge. This is the time when all our athletes come together to retest their speed and strength abilities. For added fun and motivation, we post our athletes top performances for each age group. Our athletes can even compare their performances with other Parisi, NFL, MLB, NBA and Olympic athletes!
