THE CLEVELAND SPORTS INSTITUTE'S PARISI SPEED SCHOOL
As the industry leader in Sports Enhancement training, CSI Parisi provides a time-tested, Nationally recognized, Medically-endorsed, Strength and Speed Training System. Our Sports Enhancement Staff consists of Parisi Speed School Nationally Certified Performance Coaches, Physical Therapists, Exercise Physiologists and Sports Medicine Physicians, all committed to one common goal: To help each athlete reach their athletic goals in the safest, fastest way possible.
THE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Our Performance Evaluation is an invaluable first step for every athlete. It allows our staff to assess the athlete’s current ability, determine athlete grouping, determine the most suitable programming, monitor and track progress, and create future training for the athlete. In short, it is your road map to athletic success.
- Athlete History: Your Parisi Performance Coach will first meet with the athlete and parent in order to learn more about the athlete’s goals. Questions regarding any previous injuries and/or pre-existing conditions will be addressed.
- Active Dynamic Warm up: Typical pre-game stretching can be ineffective and potentially dangerous. Our signature ADW safely and effectively prepares the athlete for training and competition while also serving as an assessment tool for the Performance Coach.
- Running and Jumping Analysis: The Performance Coach will then review and assess the athlete’s running and jumping mechanics. Utilizing video analysis, your Performance Coach will provide immediate feedback to the athlete in order to improve running and jumping efficiency.
- Performance Assessment: Each athlete will perform a series of eight tests. These tests include a laser-timed 10 and 20 yard sprints to assess acceleration and top speed running; Vertical Jump to measure force production on a vertical plane; 5 Hop Test to measure force production on a horizontal plane; 5/10/5 to measure agility; Chin-up Test to measure relative body strength; Wobble Board Squat Test which checks for lower body and core deficiencies and; Flexibility Screening in order to assess range of motion of muscle groups that are critical to athletic performance.
- Training Prescription: Based on the results collected from the athletes’ History, Running-Jumping Analysis and Performance Assessment, the Performance Coach will provide a training program specifically designed to help the athlete reach his or her personal goals.
Once the Performance Evaluation has been completed, your next step is to choose a program that best best allows you to reach your speed and strength goals. We have four Sports Performance programs to choose from, they are:
Private & Semi-Private Coaching
The athlete that can run the fastest, jump the highest, cut and accelerate the quickest, perform endurance activity at high intensities are those athletes who have the highest strength to body weight ratio. The key to sport speed is improving your relative body strength. Over twenty years in the business of making thousands of athletes stronger and faster, we are confident that we have the sport-specific strength system that will meet the needs of your athlete.
Our staff of coaches are trained and certified under the strict Parisi Speed School standards; we are nationally certified by either NASM, NSCA or ACSM. Many of us have advanced college degrees in the field of Sport Science and Physical Therapy. We not only understand how to train athletes, we understand what it takes to become an athlete. We provide real-time, immediate coaching feedback, making sure our athlete to coaching ratio is kept no higher than 10 athletes to 1 coach. Each workout is tracked and recorded; we even require our athletes to keep their own training journal. We have learned that this simple but often neglected chore instills an empowering, enthusiastic athlete.
In order to make sure that your athlete’s hard work is paying off, every other month, at no additional fee, we run our Cat Club Challenge. This is the time when all our athletes come together to re-test their speed and strength abilities. For added fun and motivation, we post our athletes top performances for each age group. Our athletes can even compare their performances with other Parisi NFL, MLB, NBA and Olympic athletes!
Our strength training program consists of functional, athletic and multi-joint movements, executed with precision. Our athletes learn the principles of tempo, torque and tension. They learn about full range of motion and proper performance breathing techniques. Our athletes understand that form is followed by intensity. Our athletes understand the number one reason why they are strength training: To prevent injury.
SPORT SPEED. LEVEL 1
Improving fundamental athletic skills and self-esteem for young athletes, ages 7-11
Science has proven that ages 7 to 11 are the most critical years in a child's life for motor skill development. Our Level 1 Sport Speed-Strength utilizes the most up to date research in a fun and friendly environment to build your young athlete's physical foundation, and improve coordination and self-esteem through our signature speed and strength training methods.
Parisi’s Level 1 Sport Speed & Strength Class is a structured, small group training session consisting of a maximum of 10 athletes per coach. The program has been proven to enhance Coordination, Running Technique, Body Weight Strength, First Step Quickness, Flexibility, Injury Prevention, Weight Loss and Self Confidence.
SPORT SPEED. LEVEL 2
The Parisi Signature Acceleration, Top Speed and Agility curriculum for athletes, ages 12-14
Athletes placed in this group are able to perform the basic requirements of our program and are at the beginner level for strength training. The typical age range for this group is 12-14. Sessions are 1 hour in length, offering an energetic and competitive environment for training, guaranteed to: Improve Speed; Increase Strength; Improve Agility; Develop Endurance; Maximize Jumping Ability; Decrease Susceptibility to Injury; Boost Confidence.
SPORT SPEED. LEVEL 3
This level builds upon the linear and multi-directional speed curriculum and introduces advanced, sport-specific drills, ages 15-18.
Athletes placed in this group have a number of years of training experience and can now tolerate more intense levels of training. We integrate sport-specific speed and agility drills, while offering an energetic and competitive environment for athletes ages 15 and older.
PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE COACHING
Private and Semi-Private coaching is available for those athletes looking for specific one-on-one instruction. Athletes may choose any of our Parisi Performance Coaches for Private Coaching. Sessions are 60 minutes in length.
To be successful, teams today need to be fast, agile, strong, and flexible. Since 1991, CSI and The Parisi Speed School have been working with teams all over the country to provide cutting edge training information that gives a team an advantage over their competition.

In order for a team to be truly successful in any sport, that team must possess each of these fundamental characteristics. If just one of these components is missing, the team will not achieve their full athletic potential.
Team Training Programs
If you want to give your athletes every piece of cutting edge training information, you are not going to be able to do it alone as coaches do not have the time or coaching resources to effectively work with their athletes at improving these traits. The Parisi Speed School is here to be your resource for this information.
Team programs are tailored to each teams’ specific needs and can be conducted for teams of all sizes, ages, and levels of ability. The number of training sessions, dates of each session, and times of each session must be agreed upon prior to the beginning of the program. Prices listed below are based Per Athlete per One Hour Session.
