"Athlete: One possessing the requisite strength, stamina, agility and endurance for success in sports." CSI Athlete CrossFit will fulfill this definition by building, developing and preparing athletes (CrossFit Fitness) to compete in the Sport of Fitness (CrossFit Sport).
Crossfit is a fitness and conditioning system that takes both training and practice to master. It was specifically designed to develop general physical preparation and skills, that will Prepare each athlete for the Unknown and the Unknowable, which means it can be used by anyone for anything – from simply improving your way of life to helping you to do the impossible! Every CrossFit workout is completely scaled to each individual athlete - this means that you will work at your own pace and intensity and that a Certified CrossFit Coach will ensure that you only execute movements that you are comfortable with.
At CSI Athlete CrossFit, we provide WODs (Workout of the Day) on a daily basis. However, these WODs will not always be the day's focus. The focus of each class is reflected on the Class Schedule. It will shift between CrossFit's dual mission;
CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness (CrossFit Fitness)
CrossFit: The Sport of Fitness (CrossFit Sport)
Instead of cramming these two distinct missions into a 60-minute time cap, we extend your training options by offering focused Primary and Secondary workouts in our CrossFit Fitness classes and put our skills to the test during our Competition days in our CrossFit Sport classes. Should you choose to enhance your training with these Primary and Secondary workouts, it will only make you a stronger, faster and healthier all around athlete and in turn, a better CrossFitter, Triathlete, Runner, etc.
Getting started with CrossFit is simple!
Come in and experience Cuyahoga CrossFit! We offer FREE trial WODs every Saturday at 10am. This allows you the opportunity to meet us, and find out firsthand what we do and who we are.
If it's a good fit, we will assess your current ability, discuss your goals and answer any questions concerning any injuries and/or preexisting conditions.
If you, and we, decide that Cuyahoga CrossFit is for you, then we will get you scheduled for our CrossFit OnRamp session, a required prerequisite before becoming a CSI CrossFit athlete.
Our Crossfit On-Ramp Course consists of one private coaching session, designed to introduce you to the skills, knowledge, and general preparedness necessary for success in our Crossfit classes. By offering a one-on-one training session, we minimize distractions and can pay maximum attention to your individual needs.
Cost: Free Re-Test: $60
Those who are:(1) Experienced in the discipline of CrossFit & Olympic Weightlifting (2) Have been through a Crossfit OnRamp course (either at Cuyahoga Crossfit or another facility) (3) Have been actively participating in Crossfit for a minimum of 3 months, may test-out of On-Ramp Program and move directly into our CrossFit Complete Group classes by scheduling an evaluation with a coach. The two-part practicum and short multiple choice quiz will provide our coaches an objective assessment of your physical and educational CrossFit competency. Eligibility for the Test is determined by a Cuyahoga CrossFit Coach.

Crossfit Express Workouts are low skill workouts that will develop your overall endurance, utilizing monostructural modalities such as rowing, running, cycling, swimming, jump roping, etc. Crossfit Express is perfect for those that are new to CrossFit, looking to get back in shape, have limited time to devote to fitness, and/or are looking for a supplemental program that focuses on endurance training.
CSI ATHLETE CrossFit:
1 x per week - $69/month 2 x per week - $89/month 3 x per week - $109/month
* Unlimited - $139/month
CrossFit Sport: "Competition" in MetCons, AMRAPS, Chippers, BenchMark WODs, EMOMs, etc.
CrossFit Fitness: "Training Program" equipped with (3) weekly Primary and Secondary Workouts. Primary Workout Description: A sustainable form of training each of the components of power, strength and stamina while incorporating prehab work to build ancillary muscles necessary in preventing injury. Secondary Workout Description: These are optional workouts that will develop your endurance, utilizing monostructural modalities such as rowing, running, cycling, swimming, jump roping, etc.
